INSURANCE

1-1) Our vehicles are protected against collision, in such event the deductible will amount to $950.00 USD, so, the client shall be responsible of the first $950.00 (USD) in damage, never the less, if the damage is less than $950.00 (USD) the client shall pay only for the value of the damage and in case of burglary or total loss the deductible is $1,500.00 (USD) for cars and small 4x4 vehicles (Daihatsu Terios, Suzuki Jimmy, Suzuki Altos). 

1-2) In case of accident, the deductible for the Gran Vitara JIII, Daihatsu Begos, Hyundai Terracam, and Hyundai Tucson is $1.500.00 (USD) and in case of total loss or burglary the deductible is $2.500.00 (USD), The deductible for MITSUBISHI MONTEROS and TOYOTAS PRADO  is $2.500.00 USD and in the event of total loss or burglary the amount is $ 3.500.00 (USD). 

1-3) The vehicles are also protected against property damage caused by third parties and civil responsibility (Insurance coverage A & C) by which the client is responsible of payment of 20% of the damage in case of accident. 

We offer the following insurance plan for our clients: 

1-4) we offer the following additional insurance: 

1. ADDITIONAL INSURANCE: 

1- Additional Insurance – Zero deductible insurance. 

Thins insurance exempts the deductible payment of CDW; according to the category of the vehicle for the amount of only $10.00 (USD) day.  

Restrictions:

1-Accidents or damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. 

2-Driving the vehicle through inaccessible paths, rivers, shorelines, swamps or similar places. 

3-Accidents or damages caused to the vehicle by negligent driving, or provoked incidents not contemplated in the traffic police report and the one issued by the insurance company. (Respective Incident Reports).  

4-The vehicle shall not be driven by persons that are not specifically authorized in the rental contract. (Non-authorized drivers). 

5-The coverage does not include lost keys, tools, and removable radios, batteries discharged because the car lights were left on, tires and wheels broken or cut. . 

6-The insurance neither covers towing nor rescue costs, nor payments for the utilization of cranes or for hauling the car to the main office. 

7-The coverage excludes a vehicle that was left in hazardous conditions, or in isolated places facilitating thus a potential theft.  

Explanatory statement: ADDITIONAL INSURANCE. ZERO DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE COVERS NOT the 20% of damages caused to third parties property in all accidents. 

2-Additional Insurance - Third Party Property Damage Insurance. 

Examine all civil responsibility regarding third party property damage in case of collision that applies to the renter and/or additional driver. The cost for this insurance is of $5.00 (USD) per day. 

Restrictions:

Accidents or damage to third party  property due to negligent driving or provoked incident that are not contemplated  in the  traffic police report and the one issued by the insurance company. (Respective Incident Reports).  

3-Accessory insurance coverage.  

This policy covers every type of accessories such as window glasses, tires, antenna, radio, tools and rented car keys for the amount of $3.00 (USD) per day. 

Total insurance cost per day $18.00 (USD). 

2. EMERGENCIES AND LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS.

We offer 24 hours service for reservations and emergencies. We have an answering system in our office, Beepers (225-2500) and cell phones available 24:00 hours a day to assist you with your reservations, and to serve you as soon as possible in the event of accident or car trouble, by either replacing the car or sending a mechanic to your aid, no matter the place of the country you might be in..  

3.VEHICLE DELIVERY 

3-1) Vehicles will be delivered to your hotel, or any place of the Metropolitan Area. You can also get them in our office of Paseo Colon, or in our Main Office opposite the Hampton Inn near the airport Juan Santamaría.  We have branch companies in Liberia Guanacaste, Golfito, Puerto Jiménez, Dominical and Uvita in the South District.

Vehicles can also be delivered in any place of the country at additional cost, depending of the location. 

3-2) Door to Door Service without additional cost in the Metropolitan Area. 

4. DRIVERS

4-1) Drivers must be 21 years of age or older and to have a valid driver’s license.  

4-2) Additional drivers have an extra charge of $3.00 (USD) per day. 

5. DEPOSIT 

a. The deposit is of  $950.00 (USD) (Suzuki Altos, Toyota Yaris, Daihatsu Terios, Suzuki Jimmys) or $1,500.00 (USD) (Suzuki Gran Vitara JIII, Daihatsu Begos, Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Terracan) or $2.500.00(USD) (Mitsubishi Montero y Toyota Prado) according to the vehicle category. We accept all credit cards VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINNERS CLUB; among others.
